The Kashmir Files featuring Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Darshan Kumar, Pallavi Joshi, Chinmay Mandlekar, Bhasha Sumbli, directed by Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri is about the untold and grievous story of Kashmiri Pandit’s deracination.

IT’S NOT A MOVIE TO ENJOY, BUT A TRUTH TO REMEMBER!
As we learned that It took more than 4 years to make this movie happen for the director Vivek Agnihotri. We can imagine what’s going on in your mind? Although, It’s not any big budget movie, nor does it have the biggest stars in it. Wondering why it took such time to make it happen? Well, like we mentioned earlier, “It’s not a movie to enjoy”, In our belief, movies are made on scripts containing a plot or engaging dialogues and casting the actors to have them delivered at the particular pace accordingly.
Likewise, The Kashmir Files are the other way around; over the years, The director and team met more than 700 families who underwent the carnage and compiled innumerous videos from the victims as well as the Islamic militancy. There is no script involved in this movie but recreation of that evidence. this is the truth that never reached us in the past 30 years. This is the truth that still haunts those who persisted in the massacre. This is the truth that indicates how helpless we have been as a community. THIS IS THE TRUTH WE ALL SHOULD REMEMBER!!
Before we move further, we would like to take a moment to SALUTE the bravery of the director Vivek Agnihotri for bringing the truth to us.
The film deals with the pain and endurance Pushkarnath Pandit (Anupam Kher) and his family have suffered throughout. The film in the first half institutes the background, while the second half deals with the young minds of today’s generation whose half-knowledge produces violence and confusion among the others. The second half entirely allots the reason to connect the past and understand the painful and unforgettable circumstances they have been through.
No Point To object: Seriously, there’s nothing you can complain about the performance. Be it a negative or positive role. Everyone in the film played their roles. Everybody knows how great actor Anupan Kher is. He is so into it that you can feel the real pain while seeing him acting. If he is heart to this movie, Bhasha Sumbli would support it as his soul.
Darshan Kumar, who plays a young and confused mind who has no idea about the past Kashmir. Manipulated by the propaganda driven narrator, Pallavi Joshi.
Pallavi Joshi, played the role of an influencer and a professor who represents the Liberals, secular, and leftists of India.
Not to forget Chinmay Mandlekar, who portrayed Farooq Malik, an Islamic militant and a Jihadist against India.
The Rising Kashmir : “The Kashmir Files is not a compromise formula, based upon the oft-repeated phrase, ‘forget and forgive’. It pinpoints in a very subtle way, without creating any sort of bad blood, the role of individuals and institutions, friends and neighbors, communities and organizations that contributed to the death and destruction in Kashmir. It has also brought into focus the wishes of the Pandit community to abrogate Article 370 believing that it could solve its long pending problems including their resettlement again in Kashmir.”
